 Bucks For Brown

Our Bucks for Brown Fundraiser continues through next week.  Thank you for supporting Brown School. Please send in the orange sheet along with donations in order for your child to receive a special bracelet.  (If donations were made online you may just send in the orange sheet and mark the donated online box).

What we are learning this week:

Math:  We will take our assessment on factors and multiples on Tuesday (10/5).  Then we will begin our work on fractions.

ELA:  We will focus on stating the sequence of events in text.

Writing:  We will begin the process of writing our personal narrative.

Science:  We will continue our unit on the study of sound.

Social Studies:  We will study what an economist does.

 

Important Upcoming Dates:

Wed. 10/6 - Late Start (school begins at 9:20am) and music make up day

Fri. 10/8 - Bucks for Brown Fun Run!

Wed. 10/13 - Late Start (school begins at 9:20am) and Art make-up day

Thur. 10/14 - ½ Day (school dismisses at 12:09pm)

Fri. 10/15 - ½ Day (school dismisses at 12:09pm)

Mon. 10/18 - No School

  Change in Swimming Dates Thank you all so much for returning the swimming permission forms so quickly! If you have not yet returned your child’s form, please do so as soon as possible. There has been a slight change in the dates for swimming due to maintenance happening at the high school swimming pool. The NEW dates for swimming will be: May 4, May 18, May 27 and June 1. Homework Reminder   Homework each week consists of reading 20+ minutes at home (this can be a library book, magazine, newspaper, online book, etc) and practicing multiplication and division facts 1 through 12. School Store The Brown Elementary School Store is back! The School Store will be open this Friday March 11 during the school day. There will be a variety of fun school supplies that the students can buy. If your child is planning to shop, please only send them in with up to $2.00 to spend as that is the spending limit at the School Store.
