Hey families,

    Thank you for taking the time to read this important information! This blog will be updated by Monday mornings at 8 a.m.  You might want to "bookmark" this page so you can access it easily.

     I think we need a pep talk 😀 While Kid President isn't a kid anymore, his message is encouraging, powerful, and holds so much truth! I am excited to be your child's 4th-grade teacher. 

     4th-grade is an important year for a child's growth and maturity. They begin to learn how to depend less on teachers and become more independent learners. As 4th-grade teachers, we have an important role in setting the foundation for our students to become lifelong learners.. 

     I look forward to a fantastic year and I know our 4th-graders will be too! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your child's 4th-grade journey.

Classroom Information

  • Please send a nutritious snack and a water bottle to school with your child each day. Water bottles can be refilled at the water filling stations in our hallway.

  • We have a tent set up outside again this year to take students outside for the opportunity to have some “mask free” learning time. We will distance students appropriately from one another. Please feel free to send in a towel for students to sit on while we are outside.

  • Please feel free to bring in a good book to read from your home.

Universal Masking Requirement
Our Return to Learn Plan requires that all students, staff members, and visitors wear a mask while inside the school environment, regardless of vaccination status, at this time. This includes our adult-only Back to School Night event. Thank you, in advance, for your adherence to this safety protocol.

  March 7 - 11 Change in Swimming Dates Thank you all so much for returning the swimming permission forms so quickly! If you have not yet returned your child’s form, please do so as soon as possible. There has been a slight change in the dates for swimming due to maintenance happening at the high school swimming pool. The NEW dates for swimming will be: May 4, May 18, May 27 and June 1. School Store The Brown Elementary School Store is back! The School Store will be open this Friday March 11 during the school day. There will be a variety of fun school supplies that the students can buy. If your child is planning to shop, please only send them in with up to $2.00 to spend as that is the spending limit at the School Store.   Change in Swimming Dates Thank you all so much for returning the swimming permission forms so quickly! If you have not yet returned your child’s form, please do so as soon as possible. Homework Reminder   Homework each week consists of reading 20+ minutes at home (this can be a library book, magazine, newspaper, online book, etc) and practicing multiplication and division facts 1 through 12.
