What we are learning this week:
Math: This week students will continue the section of our unit on measurement conversion. Students will do the following:
Learn the relationships between ounces and pounds, and hours, minutes, and seconds. As they solve problems and use multiplication to perform conversion, they will develop a sense of the relative size of the unit.

ELA: We will finish our study of theme by exploring Aesop’s fables. The theme in a story is its underlying message, or 'big idea.'
Writing: We will complete our persuasive essay. We will begin work on the study of Greek and Latin roots.
Science: This week, we will complete our unit titled Energizing Everything. We will study wind, water, and solar energy. Then students will design a Rube Goldberg machine as our culminating activity.
