Thank you to all of our volunteers that made our classroom celebrations a success! We appreciate the time and the effort you put in to make it fun for the students.


Picture Retakes

Picture retakes will be Monday, November 1, 2021.  


Student Council

Student council elections will be held Tuesday, November 2nd.


Honor Credit Union

Honor Credit Union will hold interviews for volunteer tellers on Wednesday, November 3rd.  Training will begin Monday, November 8th.


Computer Charging

Many students have been coming to school with a computer that is not charged.  Please remind your student that Chromebooks must be charged at home before coming to school.


Library Day

Please note that Fridays are library days for our class. Thank you for your help in reminding your student to return books on time.


Homework reminder: Homework each week consists of reading 20+ minutes at home (this can be a library book, magazine, newspaper, online book, etc) and practicing multiplication and division facts 1 through 12. Mastering multiplication and division facts is vital to our learning this year.

What we are learning this week:

Math:  We will continue our study of equivalent fractions.

ELA: We will focus on visualizing and making inferences when reading texts.

Writing:  We will continue developing our narrative.

Science:  We will complete our unit on the study of sound.

Social Studies:  We will continue our unit on geography of the United States.

P2: We will study perspective.  Perspective is defined as “you appreciate that people do things in different ways.  You have the ability to understand the world from multiple points of view.

  March 7 - 11 Change in Swimming Dates Thank you all so much for returning the swimming permission forms so quickly! If you have not yet returned your child’s form, please do so as soon as possible. There has been a slight change in the dates for swimming due to maintenance happening at the high school swimming pool. The NEW dates for swimming will be: May 4, May 18, May 27 and June 1. School Store The Brown Elementary School Store is back! The School Store will be open this Friday March 11 during the school day. There will be a variety of fun school supplies that the students can buy. If your child is planning to shop, please only send them in with up to $2.00 to spend as that is the spending limit at the School Store.
